On February 23rd Earl Carr, CEO of CJPA Global Advisors spoke to a group of 40 graduate students from Penn State University about careers with an International relations background. Mr. Carr also shared about CJPA Global Advisors' three core pillars of raising venture capital, doing research, and training and development. In attendance included Grant Littke, Director of Career Services and Mitchell Smith, Director of The School of International Affairs at Penn State University.

CJPA Global Advisors CEO Earl Carr from October 2-4, 2023, participated in the International Career Advancement Fellows Program (ICAP) of 2023. He led a workshop entitled,” The Nexus between Racial Justice, Investing, Financial Literacy, and Geopolitics.” Earl who is an ICAP Fellow who was part of the 2005 cohort was honored to attend ICAP, now in its 26th year located in Aspen, Colorado and affiliated with The Aspen Institute and The University of Denver. The workshop divided participants into groups and facilitated an interactive and fun way to foster innovation and knowledge creation. Earl known for his expertise in geopolitics and strategy was The 2023 recipient of the annual ICAP Diversity Award “for outstanding commitment and significant contributions to championing diversity, equity and inclusion in international affairs and for service to the ICAP community.”  Additional speakers present at ICAP included Dr. Tom Rowe, Founder and Executive Director of ICAP, Ambassador Harriet Elam-Thomas, Ambassador Will Itoh, Carmen Smith, Senior Vice President at Disney & Co., to name a few. Earl acknowledged the support of Ambassador Will Itoh, who played a pivotal role in his involvement with ICAP.

CJPA Global Advisors had the distinct honor of participating in the 20th Anniversary of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), special thanks to Nicholas Bassey's exceptional organization and the leadership of Alice Albright. Notable encounters included East Timor's President, His Excellency Jose Ramos Horta, President Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, Vice President Mohammas B.S. Jallow of Gambia, and Mali's Foreign Minister, Abdoulaye Diop. CJPA Global Advisors explored collaborative renewable energy initiatives and secured an invitation to the African Diaspora Network. A remarkable event uniting global leaders for a sustainable future.

In an eventful visit to Miami, Earl Carr made waves not only within the tech sphere but also in the realms of academia, public policy, and economic development. He had the great opportunity to tour Florida International University (FIU) and met with Brian Fonseca, Director of the Jack D. Gordon Institute of Public Policy as well as Leland Lazarus, Associate Director of The National Security Program. He was really impressed with the first-class faculty and students from The Jack D. Gordon Institute of Public Policy and their nuanced perspectives and expertise on China and Latin America Relations in addition to Cyber-Security.

He also had the opportunity to meet with Rodrick Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer of  The Miami-Dade Beacon Council to explore ways that CJPA Global Advisors could collaborate with Miami-Dade County. At the Nexus of venture capital and Client Impact, he met with Alexi Harding, Senior Managing Director at The Opes Group. To finish a truly unforgettable trip, he had the honor of visiting the only Caribbean-American Heritage Museum in the United States curated by Calibe Thompson, Creative Director of Island Syndicate.

On July 5, Earl Carr, CEO and Founder, held meetings with prominent figures in Taiwan such as :  Dr. Kwei-Bo Huang,  Secretary-General (Executive Director) Association of Foreign Relations (對外關係協會) and Associate Professor of Diplomacy at National Cheng-Chi University, and Richard Jao, Chief Political Director at The American Institute of Taiwan. During these meetings, Mr. Carr engaged in discussions on regional geopolitics and explored avenues for deeper collaboration between CJPA Global Advisors and these esteemed individuals.

Mr. Carr also met with Ms. Andrea Yang, Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Progressive Party, and discussed ways CJPA Global Advisors could bring potential investors to Taiwan. Earl Carr and CJPA will look to enquiring into having additional talks with senior officials from Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs and delve further into these topics and more.

Earl Carr, CEO and Founder of CJPA Global Advisors, was honored with the prestigious "Diversity Award" by the ICAP Fellows Association in Washington, DC. This recognition was bestowed upon Carr in May 2023 for his exceptional dedication and remarkable achievements in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of international affairs, as well as for his valuable contributions to the ICAP (International Career Advancement Program).

CJPA CEO and founder, Earl Carr, moderated a distinguished panel of experts which included: Carolyn Kissane, Associate Dean at NYU's Center for Global Affairs; Kwei-Bo Huang, Vice Dean and Associate Professor of Diplomacy at National Chengchi University; Charles C.H. Wu, Visiting Fellow with The East Asia Program at The Stimson Center; and Juliet Lee, Deputy Director for The Forum on Asia-Pacific Security (FAPS) at the National Committee on American Foreign Policy. The panel discussed "The Future of Cross-Strait Relations and U.S. Foreign Policy" at New York University's Center for Global Affairs. Special guests included: Shining Sung, Craig W Broderick, Daniel Y C Chang, Khiem Ting, Matthew Geissendörfer, Ines Hsu, and 13 exceptional graduate students from Taiwan's National Chengchi University who added critical insight to the discussion.
